This is the privacy statement of VDH Solar ("we") - Solar Europa Holding B.V. and its subsidiaries, including VDH Solar Groothandel B.V. This privacy statement provides information about the personal data we process about our website visitors and customers. The party responsible for processing personal data within VDH Solar is VDH Solar Europa Holding B.V., the holding company for all VDH Solar business units (Finlandlaan 1, 2391 PV Hazerswoude-Dorp).

With what purpose and on what basis we process personal data

VDH Solar processes your personal data for the following purposes:

• Handling your payment.
• Sending our newsletter and/or advertising folder to existing customers. You can always unsubscribe from the newsletter via the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the newsletter.
• Calling or e-mailing you if necessary to perform our services.
• Inform you about changes in our services and products.
• To offer you the opportunity to create an account. - To deliver goods and services to you.
• VDH Solar analyzes your behavior on the website in order to improve the website and tailor the products and services offered to your preferences.
• VDH Solar also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as data we need for our tax return.

The bases on which we process personal data are consent of the data subject (Article 6, first paragraph, under a, of the AVG), performance of an agreement (Article 6, first paragraph, under b, of the AVG), fulfillment of a legal obligation (Article 6, first paragraph, under c, of the AVG) and legitimate interest (Article 6, first paragraph, under f, of the AVG).

How long we keep your personal data

We do not retain your personal data for longer than is necessary for the purpose for which we process your data.

Automated decision-making

VDH Solar does not make decisions about matters that could have (significant) consequences for individuals on the basis of automated processing. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems, without the presence of a person (e.g. an employee of VDH Solar).

Sharing personal data with third parties

VDH Solar will not sell your data to third parties and will provide it only if required for the implementation of our agreement with you or in order to fulfill a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. VDH Solar remains responsible for this processing.

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on website visitors who are under 16 years of age, unless they have permission from parents or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children's online activities in order to avoid collecting data about children without parental consent. To ensure that the request is made by you, we will ask for your email address, name and phone number if you have created an account with VDH Solar. If you have not created an account on our website, we ask that you send a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, at the latest within four weeks.

How we secure personal data

VDH Solar takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.
