SDE++ Subsidy: Application period opens on Sept. 10, 2024

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024, companies and non-profit organizations can again claim the SDE++ subsidy. This scheme stimulates large-scale generation of renewable energy and reduction of CO2 emissions, with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the Netherlands by at least 55% compared to 1990 by 2030. A total budget of as much as €11.5 billion is available for this round.

What is the SDE++?

The SDE++ is an operating subsidy that provides financial support during the period of use of installations that generate renewable energy or reduce CO2 emissions. The amount of the subsidy depends on the market price and the realized performance of the installation. The subsidy can be granted for a period of 12 to 15 years, depending on the category for which one applies for a subsidy.

• End of application period: Thursday, October 10, 2024, 5:00 p.m.
• Available budget: €11.5 billion
